ThatArtGuy's Donkey Kong Scratch Build

Wound the audio wire and mounted the grill and speaker. I would suggest mounting the speaker before assembling the cabinet. It is much easier. My Player 2 button wasn't pushing all the way since it seems to be short, so I bent it slightly. All works here.

The only thing left is to find out why I am getting so much interference on my monitor. That one is going to be a head scratcher, but I have some ideas.

I guess I could get a tighter spring for the joystick, but it isn't enough of a bother to pay 30 dollars shipping on a two dollar item.

Beautiful build, I've always loved the look of these Nintendo cabs. Looking forward to finding out the source of the interference (I do love a good puzzle).
Been a while since I debuged analog signals and the pic isn't very clear, but is that 60hz from the power lines/transformer on the screen?

Thanks, and it should be. I put more information in my post on the monitor area of the forum for more specific help. I'm thinking it is one of the grounds somewhere.

Fixed the screen issue by removing the grounding wire from the monitor frame. It is beautiful now.

First two are before.

I did some cable management tonight. I also implemented the fix to allow my frame to be grounded but not interfere with the video. This is done by connecting the logic ground to the full ground.

Finally, I connected the cab to the internet for high score saving and verification purposes. Joe at highscoresaves runs contests, and this keeps everyone honest; mostly. LOL
