That dreaded long drive to pick up a game....(Do you mind driving long distances?)

Is this the auction?

This one doesn't say original.

You're having buyers remorse.

For $2300, I would have asked for more pictures first. And pictures of the inside.

Local pick up/you inspected it/accepted it as is.

For the damage in transport, that is on you. It is also why I always like to test games I buy before moving them as damage can happen in transport and that isn't the seller's fault.

I'm sorry this pickup didn't go the way you would have liked.

Also this bit...

"I've described this item to the best of my ability, but sometimes I miss something and condition is subjective! Please review the pictures of this item to determine its condition for yourself! And please ask questions if you need additional information regarding this item's condition or other details! ... Items are sold as is. All sales are final, no refunds or returns unless item is grossly misrepresented: Please review item descriptions and pictures carefully before deciding to bid. Please email us if you have any questions or concerns. We are not responsible for incorrect assumptions concerning this item. "

Reaaally don't think the seller is at fault here. And FWIW, I've been collecting since like 2003 and I still couldn't tell you at a glance if a harness has been adjusted or not, if edge connectors are worn, etc... I could diagnose and fix it if the game wasn't working, but if it's working and it looks good enough inside that's a "working" cab to me...

[Items from sellers FB post]

[He seemed very pleased with the machine, loaded it up, and off he went. Not once did he mention any issue or dissatisfaction.]

You (buyer) had an opportunity to check it out, and had bought it based on what he had in auction, and whether or not you asked for more info or pics. Any assumptions are on you.

[Well today he is claiming the replaced power supply was a hack job, not all original hardware per advertised]

He didn't advertised that. If you're not used to buying a project with things modified, you need another hobby.

[and he wants a $900 refund on a $2300 purchased Tapper game, or he wants to return it with a police officer present and I pay his traveling expenses in both directions from NJ to VA, $200 total.]

This is absurd. Another KLOV'r disagreed with me that this was a threat with the police officer. I call it a threat because you started a dispute with Ebay/Paypal. Anyone knows that a seller can be ripped off with a dishonest claim if Ebay sides with the buyer. Money gets sucked out of seller's account. Whether or not you would actually take the money from him, you initiated a dispute and held that over his head asking for $900.

[My auction stated no refunds as once it leaves my property, I have no control over what a person does to it.]

You (buyer) knew that.

I have no doubt that if you hadn't been a dumbass, posted here about the transaction, and gotten called out, that you would NOT have gone back and edited that one post admitting that you damaged the boardset and would have escalated the dispute.

Yep. Everything spot on last few posts. Like I mentioned before, things change once the truth comes out of who NOT to sell to after this.
