Anyone having people over for Thanksgiving? We are and hopefully the games will hold up well if they get play. Oddly enough it's been more the young kids that want to get go downstairs to play these old games. I was hoping to get my Star Wars Trilogy back up and running before then, but it's not looking likely.

my parents are coming over. for the most part, they probably won't care about the games. my mom might complain again about how much of the house they've taken over but i really don't care. my dad might actually play something though half-heartedly.

Most, if not all, of my family think I am weird for having the games...

Most of my friends dig them, though.

we're gonna have 8 people over all together, so i'll have to report on thursday as to how it goes. all the games are in up and running condition, and i'm guessing my ice cold beer is going to get a lot of play. that thing's been a magnet for play since i got it...

We're not hosting Thanksgiving this year, but we'll be having friends over for a Christmas dinner next month. Hopefully, I'll move a futon out and have the MVS and Double Dragon cleaned up and in the house by then. Good times. :)

Every other Thanksgiving we have the party at my place and its a blast. Grand parents have a hard time getting the kids and grand kids to come up for dinner when its time. The kids dont want to leave later either, so the parents have to bribe them with "You can play again at Christmas" lol

Me and the Father-in-Law will be Deep Frying a Turkey on the front driveway. Which happens to be about 15 feet from my Whirlwind and Ms. Pac-man. I am hoping to bond over a pinball tourny. We shall see.

Mmmm deep fried turkey. Ever since I purchased a turkey fryer my mom refuses to cook a turkey in the oven, and it's now left up to me to either lug the fryer to parents house, or whole family comes to mine.

I was anti-fry till my father-in-law said I should try it. I finally gave in about 5 years ago and tried it. Now it's all we make for Thanksgiving and Xmas. and there is usually 0 leftovers. EVERYONE loves it. Even my bro who's anti-turkey will eat some.

Thanksgiving at our house because I don't like to travel. My parents might make it but they think I'm nuts for collecting games and cars.

I'll probably be out in the game room installing my repaired power supply in my Williams multigame while dinner is being made and the kids keep the grandparents busy.

We don't have Thanksgiving at our house. I will get to play he Roy Clark pin that I gave to my Father-in-law though.

Maybe I should give him a Space Duel too.... ;)

Thanksgiving

I have thanksgiving at my house every year and if this year is like last year, the games will be on for 10 hours straight and played all day. Q-bert and the Mlticade get most of the love. I don't think anyone set down and watched TV once.

Haha. I'm in a similar position. Thanksgiving is always at my mom and dad's house... and I got my dad a Space Invaders for Father's Day a couple of years ago, so I always get my arcade fix on Thanksgiving. :)

We are hosting Thanksgiving this year, as usual, but most of the kids won't be here. And the people that WILL be here won't care. New Year's Eve is our party night of the year for the arcade...

All of the in-laws will be over for dinner. I do my best to keep them away from the games as they are abusive and don't care if they get damaged or not.
