thanks for all the information!!!

At least HE WAS POLITE ABOUT IT... AND MADE SURE TO YELL SO EVERYONE COULD HEAR

There was one not too long ago where the guy just said "COME AND GET IT, DON'T BOTHER ME OR ASK QUESTIONS"

and right now there's a guy on CL in portland saying "$200 firm, no offers or it will go on the next bon fire" ($199? no... it's now on fire)
then posted a few days later after someone took it, and took the other game that was sitting out with it that wasn't supposed to be free

The Pit Boss Arcade Machine will not turn on and just needs to be repaired. My in-laws had it in their basement for the past 15 years. They said it stopped turning on about 3 years ago. They said it had done that before and they called the repair number on it and they fixed it pretty quickly. That company no longer exists though. So, if you know someone who can fix it, this is a great opportunity. Since the kids moved out, it has just been taking up space and my in-laws want me to sell it for them. They never bothered having it repaired because they do not use it anymore. I checked the internet and this video game machine, when working, sells for around $750-$1000. It is a classic. Most repairs cost around $50-150 from what I am told. Again, prices may vary depending on who who go with.

huh, i just checked the internet and that game seems to be worth about $25, am i wrong???

Ha! I actually just purchased this game last night for $40, and a bit of KLOV searching for "Pit Boss" pulled up this thread. It's in a TAITO Kram cabinet, which is the main reason I wanted it. The seller was a nice guy, just apparently misinformed on price at one point. Attached is a bad photo - it is nice and bright red, contrary to how it appears.

KRAM - awesome! Do you have any of the other parts to re-build it?

Not yet...still figuring out what I want to do with it. Given the condition and volume of parts missing, I was thinking of just throwing in a 19-in-1 for the time being. I have a Jungle King cabinet as well (it was a broken 90's Sega shmup when I bought it), but I just don't have any nostalgic attachment to that game and it looked pretty dull, so it's currently a 60-in-1. KRAM does, however, look to be a pretty cool game...

Reminds me of a guy trying to sell a Gorf on Austin Craigslist. When I initially asked about the condition, this was his response:

If u are a serious inquire u have to come see it in person in cedar park for 5 dollars i have no time 4 scams

After wishing him good luck, he replied with a little info about the cabinet and this:

.. as far as the 5 dollars go im actually giving u a deal im charging 20 if thats 2 much for u then u cant afford to buy a $400 arcade system its just my way of getting serious inquiries only

WTF?

A while back there was a local guy on CL who posted an Xbox 360 he wanted to trade for a sound system for his car. He had done a bunch of shit to it and the ad said something like, "I have over $600 invested into this Xbox so don't try to rip me off."

Man, if you're investing your money in Xboxes, you might need to take a class in economics.

Here is an ad that is lame. This guy is a forum member here and always tries to sheister and lowball everyone with arcade machines for sale. He also says things are newly replaced when they arent. Then he tries to tell me a machine I have for sale is problematic from the factory and only worth $50 even with a 100% rebuilt monitor.

Now thanks to him ripping people off (or trying to) its harder than hell to sell anything locally anymore.

I almost forgot to mention my Moon Patrol. I did some repair work on it and got the monitor looking sharp and the cabinet as cleaned up as cleaned up gets and posted it on Craigslist for sale. I had a few interested people but nothing as far as someone comming to look at the machine. After about 5 days I get an e-mail from the person I was speaking about in my above post and he is asking me if something is for sale that I own that..... A: WASNT POSTED NOR ADVERTISED IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM & B: WASNT VISIBLE IN ANY OF THE PICTURES.

Doesn't that get annoying too?
