Thanks man, The story about your 1943 READ HERE FOLKS saved me.

I was loading some cabs and this story popped into my head. I decided to check the marque on my games and one of them was very loose. Turns out the marque was so loose that it just fell right out into my hands. The plexi wasn't too secure either so I went ahead and pulled it as well. Crisis averted thanks to the unfortunate 1943 incident that JJ Mann had. Anyone ele been saved by a fellow members story?

WOW!!! I am glad I have helped out someone else in this hobby. I have had alot of help from fellow KLOVers since I started posting here. Nice to see it given back in a strange way. LOL. This is what this site is all about though. RIGHT?? Great save Supadave. Did you pick up some more games? I hope some thing you have been wanting.

This reminds of a story...

Back in 2001, I bought my first two arcade games. I convinced a coworker to help me haul them home. We loaded them up in his truck and headed down the highway. After a couple miles, I catch some sudden movement out of the corner of my eye. I twist around and see the control panel from one of the games flopping around, hanging at the end of the wiring harness. We immediately pull over. I discover that the control panel hadn't been clamped down, so the vibration and wind pressure caused it to pop out. When it did, the tempered glass bezel flew out and smashed all over the highway. (Fortunately, not hitting anything other than the road!)

After that, I always tried to remember, before hauling a game, to check it inside and out for any loose parts & pieces, and then secure or remove them.

Nothing fantastic but turned out to be a good value, It was a 3 machine pick up. Got another TMNT. It works fine but the cab art is sun fadded badly on one side. Bad Dudes which was the reason I went, and a Tri Sports that was pretty much complete trash. In fact, I stripped it on site and just took the monitor, power supply, ISO, board, marquee and control panel. Monitor is good but the game wouldn't work right. Has obvious board problems. The cabinet was completly trashed from moisture and fell apart like it was made of saltine crackers. It was very nice of them to let me strip it on site. They are gonna burn the cab when they burn other stuff. You could tell that they do alot of junk peddling and removal. I originally just went there for the Bad Dudes but for an extra 100.00 bucks they threw in a working 4player TMNT in decent shape and a free Tri Sports. Now I got 2 TMNT machines but for a hundred bucks I couldn't pass it up. A TMNT and some parts from a junk Tri Sports. I guess it was a good trip after all.

Sounds like a great deal. Well worth the trip. I love going to buy one game and coming home with more.
