Thank you to fellow KLOV'r 1badv6 for making a game run for ACAM on Labor Day weekend. He picked up Galaga 88, Wacko, Time Pilot and Birdie King 3. Road trip pics to follow. Photobucket seems to have some issues for me at the moment.

Thanks again,
Gary

Thanks guys.

Just trying to do what little I can for the games I love.

Anyway since Gary mentioned the game list here are some pics of the 4 game pickups.

Started out in NH less than 2 miles from my house. Fellow collector and NEACF member Bullwinkle donated a cherry dedicated Birdy King 3 with both Birdy King 2 and 3 boards.

Next I drove another 3 hours to the coast of RI to pick up the Wacko from our KLOV friend Zork40

Time to turn around and head back north stopping in Kieth Apicary's home town of Woonsocket RI to pick up a very nice Galaga '88.

Time to drive another hour north for the last pickup of the day from another member of NEACF Joeyray donating a Time Pilot with the joy buzzer add on.

Time to head north for the last time. Off to ACAM land of childhood dreams. The place that has all the games I can't fit in my game room.

Total mileage to deliver the games 396miles and lots of fun..

Cool, glad to see it made it there safe and sound. Too bad the Galaga 88 wasn't around for the Galaga tournament earlier this year :D

There is a reason why ACAM succeeds. Without the awesome support of the collector community, I do not know how we would function. You guys come through again and again. ACAM is the biggest and best museum of classic gaming for many reasons, but the generosity of the collectors rank at the top of the list.

Scott, as always, you rock. I can't wait to personally thank you and Dewman for all of your help and donations in less than two weeks.

Fred, I feel you fall into that awesome class of collectors. Without your Gaplus boardset donation, we would not have been able to pull off that Galaga competition. Yes, it was awesome to have corporate support from Namco Bandai games. It was wonderful that Namco Bandai games chose ACAM to be the focal point of their 30th Anniversary celebration. However, your boardset donation was the final piece of the puzzle. It really helped the whole thing come together in a way that made everyone happy.

Thanks, was glad to do it...Gaplus is one of my favs and it was nice to see it put to use in the tournament. Also, thanks for the pics 1badv6. Can't wait to play them next time I'm there :)

1badv6 for president!!!

Thanks Scott for doing this for ACAM. I can't wait to finally try Wack-o!!

I'd like to run Bullwinkle's Birdie King with the "2" boards in it and have the "3" boards running in the game Mike Appolo donated to us. Earlier this summer we found a NOS CPO for BK3 on Ebay so we can fix up the Appolo donation. Who is up for some Birdie King action?

Thanks,
Gary :)
