Well finally got a chance to look at this pin last night. Doing a continuity check from CN11 pin 4 to the coil, all was good, I checked to the collector of Q44, and it was bad! Seems someone replaced a few of the TIP122's, Q43, 44, & 45. The reason being, of all things, corrosion! It seems the batteries dripped on those three transistors and when they were replaced the tech, if you will, didn't thoroughly clean the surrounding area and the corrosion returned, eating the transistor legs and the associated drives, the 24401's. This was making me wonder why it would work in test and not in game mode, until I scoped the test pulse length and found it to be longer than the switch controlled pulse generated during game play! Cleaned the board with vinegar, replaced the tranys , and the edge connector at CN11, and its header, I hate little molex pins! I really should buy the tool!, and all is well in the "Crypt" now for my next trick I'll figure out why my newest find, Kings of Steel, only blinks 5 times, lets out a squeak from the cheaep squeak board and then just sits there, no displays or action, seems dead with lights.
