Tetris Prototype NES on GameGavel

Thought some of you might be interested in watching this one. It has a pretty conservative reserve and low starting bid.

This original prototype was an EGM review copy and has been in my possession for over 23 years (since the late 80s) when I wrote for and designed the magazine. Message me for more details.

I wonder if Terry Trickman know this guy...

I remeber when I was in college at SIU Carbondale in the late 90's a pawn shop had a copy of the one Tengen released and they wanted $75. It was sealed in the box and I thought they were crazy. lol

I own a 10.0 VGA graded gold NES World Championship cart. The only one of its kind. I'd take a picture, but it's in a safe in a bunker at an undisclosed location surrounded by armed guards.

I can vouch for this. I personally saw it - in addition to the above, it was behind 20 feet of solid glass, but I could totally make out that it was legit. I tapped the glass and the lights went out and the whole thing went underground. Next thing I know, I've got guns pointed at me from all directions, but it was worth it.

And you had fair warning as well...amateur.

This version says Licensed by Nintendo in the game. There hasn't been a version that has said that yet.

Also, anyone buying VGA appraised games is crazy.

Say what? Nintendo had the rights to and courts ruled that Tengen was selling illegal unlicensed copies...Tengen's was pulled from store shelves in less than a month.

Over 8 Million copies of Nintendo's version were sold worldwide...

This Tengen proto has that it is licensed in the game, unlike the final production version. That is why I am saying this one is unique. I am not saying it is licensed.
