I find myself in need of a k7400/k7500 flyback on a short notice and happen to have about 5 or 6 k7400 chassis that are in various states of disrepair.
Is it possible to test a flyback for obvious failure on these busted chassis before transplanting one?

There was a posting from Ken (the knowledgeable Ken L.) that had a link to a ring tester that would test the impedence on all kinds of things, like flybacks. My Search Fu has been on the fritz lately but if I find it, I'll edit this post and add the link.

Edit: I couldn't find Ken's posting, but here is a similar one with a link to a ringtester: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=69425&highlight=ring+tester

Thanks for the links!
I was actually looking at their ESR meter awhile back too, now I may have to get both :)

Neither will help me get my game up and going by tomorrow night though. I may just try doing a blind swap and keep my fingers crossed, then once I get the meters go through everything. :001_ssuprised:
