I came across a video on John's Arcade for testing the 2N3792's. Please check the procedure and confirm it's correct or tell me what I'm doing wrong. Black and red are the multimeter leads.

Black to emitter, red to base - should read open
Black to collector, red to base - should read open

Black to base, red to emitter - should read between .4 - .9
Black to base, red to collector - should read between .4 - .9

Black to collector, red to emitter - should read open
Red to collector, black to emitter - should read open

Is the procedure the same for the 2N3716's?

Nevermind, I found a different video on J's A, with a great screen cap giving the needed info. hopefully this is helpful to others. 2n3716 are NPN, which is covered by a transistor in the picture.
