Recently, I bought a non-working Galaga from a game flipper. When I brought it home and took a look inside, I quickly realized at least one of the reasons why it didn't work: someone stuck a K6100 monitor in there as a replacement! Well, I figured that was a pretty good find since the value of the K6100 would cover the expense of the game, however, I do not have nor have access to a vector game so that I can test this thing. Is there another way of testing these ?

Thanks

Short answer - no.
Without a vector to supply a signal you're kind of stuck. You could test the tube by itself but that's a whole different story. I wouldn;t waste my time.
The value of that untested (and as long as the tube isn't burnt to hell) will cover a raster monitor purchase.
When you post it for sale you need to supply pictures.

hmmm, I kinda figured that would be the answer I got. I'm not a big fan of buying or selling "untested" stuff because it always sounds suspicious, but I guess in this case I have no choice.

I just took another look at it and the only burn I could make out was a very light (I used a 1M candlepower halogen spotlight) "1 coin per(?) play" at the top (horizontal). Above that there is an even lighter burn that I can't make out at all. The rest of the tube looked completely clean. Oh well, another item on my to do list.

Thanks for the help.

Find a local with a color vector.

Check the front left corner of the deflection board for burned parts...
