So while I'm waiting on parts to repair my asteroids PCB, I'd like to see if my newly acquired 801 works. I don't have any other vector games, so I was thinking of throwing together a really simple vector generator.

Does anyone know the proper input voltage range for X, Y and Z? And how fast do X and Y need to change to keep the spot killer from kicking in.

I've got a little microcontroller board with a digital pot, that can sweep two outputs between 0 and 5 volts. I'm thinking I ought to be able to draw in one quadrant without any mods.

Thoughts?

Great, thanks!

I'm still wondering how fast of a sweep is necessary to keep the spot-killer from kicking in. But I guess I could write a little program and see if it works.
