Ok, i know this is a long shot, but it a game i played as a kid.

All i remember about the game is that you had to fight guys one on one, but it wasnt a fighting game like tekken , MK, or street fighter. I remember that there was a guy that had a sword and armor, not sure if it was a guy i fought with or i had to fight.

you would have to keep walking forward to get to more guys, but there was always a main guy that you had to fight, thet got harder and harder as u went

Played this at parmatown mall movie as a kid. Im 31 now

It was a great game

Good luck with this one guys!!!!!!

I thought KFM (good old side scroller beat'em up) but I don't recall any knights in armor - just Martial arts. :)

I also thought of Gladiator. It was not too common (at least I only saw two on location - one about the time it came out at Aladdin's Castle (1986) and one in 1990 when I went to see 'Hunt for Red October' at a tiny old theater in New Braunfels, TX. Crazy what one remembers...

That's my guess. Every time someone's looking for Gladiator, they give the description donnyjj does, above...

Trojan (1986)?

I was thinking Trojan too, but the one on one thing is throwing me off. It's a beat 'em up action game with waves of enemies and boss battles. He does have a sword and a shield though. Your main character sprite isn't very big though, not like the character sprite in Gladiator.

Think we have a winner!!!!!!! You guys are good....

Anyone have a nice gameplay video of this???

Depends on your definition of nice, but I just played it. I hate this game! :D

Thanks man, Thats it.

Might have to see about getting one of these.

thanks for taking the time to post that Vid

Yes I love Gladiator, used to play it during study hall in Hight School. My school was really small, and they would let us leave as long as we didn't have classes. There was a tiny video store that has a pool table, Gladiator, Vs Castlevania and Crystal Castles. Loved that place.

Here is a google maps street view of the place. Take a look:

Saw one at the last Milwaukee Super Auctions. I think it went for less then $100.00. I played it about two minutes and just couldn't get into it. I remember thinking "this is like a slow version of trojan..."

i have a gladiator PCB in an Asteroids Deluxe cab with a custom CP. I have loved this game since the 80's when I played it. I have been toying with the idea of doing a mirror image like AD does.

I have an extra PCB that doesn't work that I was told is a Gladiator board.

It plays perfect in MAME if you're looking for a quick fix. I don't see the original board for sale much.
