I have most of my test bench set up completed and now need to source a small monitor.

I have a 14" Hantarex Polo chasis but no tube. (If anyone has one for sale PM me)

The other thought I had was could I use an old computer monitor. I have old Microvitec BBC, Amstard 664 and C64 monitor in my loft. Would any of these be suitable and would it be a case a wiring a plug from my jamma board to the RGB, sync and ground pins?

If none of these work, what would? and what specs am I ideally after?

Cheers in advance

Rob

Same here, 1084 is great for a test screen

And watch out for the gender of the DB9 connector on the back of the monitor. If it's opposite from the spec that you are reading, the wiring should be the mirror image of what you think it is.

Need some expert advice.. Picked up a Commodore 1084s-p and it
has 2 connections on the back.

TTL RGB (8 pins) and LLN RGB (6 pins)

Which connection should I use to hook directly to a jamma harness
and any idea what the pinouts should be?

The pinout descriptions I have seen state 9 pins..

Thanks,
Mike

Radio Shack sucks... I walk in and ask for a DIN connector. The guy goes "What?" a D I N connector. "Oh I gotta look that up on my
computer"

"Computer said it was used on a play station 2 (ps2) cable and I dont have those."

ROFL.. now I gotta pay mouser shipping..
