terrible…never again (thought I was using NAVL but wasn't)
Edit..
So after some research in turns out the agent DID NOT use NAVL as requested!!!
My extreme apologies to NAVL and if a Mod can change the subject line or complete delete this thread I'll fix it!!
So here's my story…my first (and VERY last) experience with *NOT NAVL!!*
I called Trish from *NOT NAVL!!* about 3 weeks ago to make arrangements to pick up about 800LBS (3 to 4 pieces) of stuff and move it from Minnesota to Buffalo NY. I was very specific on the weighs of each 'piece', the service I wanted (residential garage to residential garage) and had the EXACT address of both places. I got a price of about $900 which I thought was a bit high..but, it is what it is.
A couple days later I call her to tell her the deal is a go..give them my CC number to pay for shipping..and pick the stuff up. I email her all the information with addresses for pickup and delivery and such. A couple days go by and I don't get a confirmation. I call her and she said she never got the email. After about 5 minutes on the phone she finds the email, apologies and 'starts the ball rolling' ..no biggy. It was going to take about 2 weeks which would still be plenty of time before xmas.
They make arrangements with the seller (I'm the buyer) for a Friday pickup…so the seller takes time off of work to meet to assist with loading and such. So *NOT NAVL!!* calls the seller to say they are on the way. Apparently the driver had a problem finding the house..3 to 4 phone calls later between the driver and the seller, it turns out the driver was in Alexandria VA and not Alexandria MN!
So of course I call Trish and she said it was her mistake when she put the order through and they re-scheduled the pickup for the following Wednesday…not a big deal..shit happens.
So Wednesday comes around..the seller again take time off of work to meet the driver. I get a phone call from the seller which..i was hoping it would be 'it's on it way' and of course it wasn't. Apparently *NOT NAVL!!* (tried) sent a full size tractor trailer into this little residential area with a 100LBS 70 year old guy…no lift gate…no fork truck..no help to load this stuff up. I'm not sure how they expected to lift these palleted pieces into the back of the tractor trailer. I guess it was a moot point as the truck couldn't even get down the road.
So I again call Trish to see what's up. I was told that they would have to send a courier truck in from about 80 miles away to pick the game up and of course there would be an additional charge for this, and..this couldn't happen for at least another week! I was also told with the holiday approaching the delivery time would be moved to after the New Year.
So today..I'm stopping at Uhaul after work..grabbing a 12' enclosed trailer..and making the 2200 mile, 36 hour trip. *NOT NAVL!!*..you can go F yourself…and of course.. have a nice day!
Damn.. that rant felt good!
