Hi !

I made the biggest error a mor** could make : fixing the light marquee with the cab working...
And obviously the shit happened.

I got an electric sparkle and the screen went black.
The game still runs fine but the screen doesn't powers up. I cursed myself a thousand times for such a stupid behavior, and things are done.

Any advice about the way to fix it ?

Thanks, and sorry for being such a mindless rookie...

it probably has a K7000 in it, and you might've popped it in the bad way by tinkering with the AC wires.

start by checking the chassis fuse, it's probably gonna be a bitch to get at cause of how the monitor's mounted. if you happen to change that out and the problem persists, you're probably looking at the usual stuff that goes kaboom and then some on a K7000... assuming of course it's the original monitor.

100% right.
My ninja skills allowed me to retrieve the fuse, and it was a pain :D
It looked bad, and yes, it's dead.

It seems to be a 2A. I do hope it's just the fuse, I cross my fingers.
Thanks again for thr useful advice.

yeah, if you somehow managed to feed it non-isolated power, it's gonna blow everything: flyback, HOT, IC4, the fuse obviously, and diodes, potentially other stuff.

I'm sure it's simple enough to fix if you've got the parts, but some people are intimidated by that sort of thing. pulling the monitor completely out of T2 is a bitch as well, I've done it before (and reinstalled it) myself, and it wasn't pleasant.

I was glad I punted on it.

Well, well...

Fuse changed and... nothing.
Just in case, I checked my new fuse, and surprisingly, it was dead.

So I guess the short circuit is still here. But how may I locate it ?

Thanks !
