I have a Stargate and a Batman Forever pin. I am looking at a Terminator 3. I have not played a T 3 before. Any feed back. Thank You

I think T3 is a great game! Underated movie in my opinion as well. And since you've already got 2, I think it would make a fine addition. I wanna say $2800-$3000 would probably get you a decent one. And hope you're a fan of the color red...

HOLY SMOKES that's way too much. They're going for 1500-1700 right now, and also... if you have a T2, I'd say pass. The two games are very similar.

As for feedback, there's a lot of death shots in the game. It's T2 with a backglass toy instead of on the playfield, and death shots. Oh, and the color red.

I have heard other people say that T3 is like T2 as well.
I really dont get why people say that, the 2 games are nothing alike. "terminator" is really all that is similar with a little "hello" to T2 with the collecting of key cards and crap.

I've owned a t2 a couple times, really like it for what it is (not deep) and I like it a hellalot better than the one trick pony that HS2 is.

T3: Played a poor one and was still impressed. Awesome all metal ramps?= Rare nowadays because of cost, some nice tight shots, captive ball, modes, stern reliability, great price (should be able to find one easily for $1700-2000) Nice value if you ask me.

Thanks, James

I suppose everyone on Mr. Pinball won't be selling theirs.

I agree with everyone else. Your price quote was off the charts.

EBay stats - pretty hard to argue those.
This one was in my backyard:

T2's sit for months at $1600 on my local CL

@ OP:
T3 is fun - but for me it's not the type of fun that demands I put one in my home. It would fare much better in a large collection but in your case you already have two fairly linear games (no disrespect meant btw) so why add another linear game? Seek one at locally and put some time in on it before you buy it. I had purchased a pin purely off of the hype and I couldn't have been more let down. That machine is no longer in my collection.
Me personally, I feel in a small collection having a lot of variety is key.

What people list games for and what games sell for are two different things entirely. Drives me nuts when people say "Ooooh that game sells for $4000 on Ebay!" ...no, it's LISTED for $4000...it has been for YEARS. It would sell if it was $500. ;)

T2 is way better than T3 IMO. I would consider T3 a $1500 game +/- a few hundred. I get bored of T3 pretty quickly, it just seems too repetitive to me. To each his own though.

T2 is obviously the better overall game as far as art and sound is concerned. Everything about T2's presentation is bad ass. T3 is fucking goofy. You better be an Arnold fan.

Gameplay, however, T3 edges T2 out (it's close).

Somewhat similar layouts, but T3 has a bit more stuff going on. An extra ramp shot to the right. Center drop targets are replaced by RED. Mode hole to the left is replaced by targets. There are more modes and rules going on as well. The backglass RPG mode is what everyone notices right away, which is actually not as gimmicky as it look. It has its own little modes and you're rewarded higher if you take less shots to complete them.

They both suffer from the alternating dual ramp shots being a tad too important. So once you have the rhythm down for that combo, which you most certainly will get down if it is a home pin, you wind up in a situation where not focusing on leveling those two ramps up seems pointless.

...and yeah. Over 2K for either is way too much. A couple years ago I would have said 1200 is the fair point for a good T2. Since this is KLOV where people pricing stuff too low wind up shot, I'd say 1500 is fair for either.
