Need some advice. Getting ready to place my order for parts for my terminator 2 restoration. Mine was missing the hunter killer ship. What are everyone's thoughts on this. I am debating between getting the one from marco or the one from pinball life. The one from pinball life is made of aluminum so it won't break but I don't think it looks as nice. How easily do these break? Should I go for durability over looks?

The sooner everyone drops me their opinions the sooner I can get this stuff ordered :)

Thanks!

I ended up going with the one from pinball life. That led upgrade is way to much money for me right now. If I fall in love with the pin and want to upgrade to all LED's I might spring for this but that will have to wait for now.

In my opinion the non lighted hunter killer ship doesn't add much to the game and if I hadn't installed it with the light mod I wouldn't have put it in at all. That light mod looks really cool.

I had to replace my hunter ship as the machine didnt come with one. Its been on there 2+ years so far and never broken. A ball hits the metal wire holding it up now and again but so far its undamages. I went with the plastic one and I'm happy.

With limited home only play it might last longer if luck is on your side All it takes is one ball hitting it a certaiin way and it will break, it's really not a question of "wear". The plastic protector for it is not that much $ as I recall.

Like I said, the HK light mod is a nice feature. If you have the funds it's worth putting it in.

If you're not going to do the LED mod for the ship, get the solid aluminum one from Pinball Life. It's not a mold, it's a solid hunk that's flat on the bottom so the LED kit WON'T work with it, only the mold.

I bought the aluminum one to replace my broken one. I'd highly advise either getting the aluminum one or getting the protector piece to protect the plastic molded one. Everyone I see is broken (or protected).

So far luck has held out. But yeah, I plan on getting that light mod, that looks pretty sweet!

I went with the aluminum one. I got it installed the other day and it looks very nice. I won't be doing the LED kit cause that thing is way to expensive. Plus the aluminum one was cheaper and there is no way that thing is going to get damaged by a rogue pinball. Got my rubber kit yesterday as well so now I will be shopping it on Saturday and cleaning out the inside to repaint it and then I should be up and running with a pretty bad ass looking pin.

Much better then the lethal weapon 3 pin I traded for it. I'll post some before and after pics this weekend of my progress.

For those who may not know Pinball Inc makes a repro as well.
