I have a T2 video game that works great with the exception of the left gun. It works ok but the aiming sight on the screen jumps slightly. The right gun sight on the screen stays still and moves perfect with the gun. I've tried calibrating but the sight still jumps up and down about an inch or so on the screen. Makes aiming a challenge. Any advice?
Thanks
Ken

Take the black covers off the gun. Try cleaning the potentiometers in there with contact cleaner, aka Deoxit. Also inspect the gears, they are usually cracked. The bushing get old and sticky as well.

Swap the cables on guns between the left/right so they are backwards. See if the problem follows the gun or the player.

If the gun, see the above post.

If the player, you have a game board issue.

Took a pot off an extra Midway Revolution X game and put it on the T2 gun. Now working perfect. Time to part out the Rev X game.

The exact replacement long life 5K pots are still readily available. Don't kill a game over 1 pot.

Revolution X

I have one extra Rev X that I bought to get the gun covers for my T2. The other Revolution X I have works great except the PCB is revision 2 and the sound board is revision 1, so at startup I get an error message (see attached). Still played great though. I guess I need a mreision 2 sound board.

I've owned a few Rev X's and worked on others, mixed up many board sets and never seen anything about version 1 or 2. I've seen similar errors regarding the sound board before and it's always been caused by the power supply being on its last legs.

Thanks

I'll have to check the power supply next. Thank you👍👍
