I have a T2 pinball. It was working fine until the other day. After you start game play and shoot out your first ball, it sometimes says "don't move" and shoots out another ball. I thought maybe it was the switch that tells if the ball falls through the flippers. It seems to be functioning ok and not getting stuck. Any ideas?

This is usually caused by the switches that control how many balls are in the trough. Go into test mode and see if they are all working properly.

In addition, T2 loves to have issues with the switch matrix for some reason. Look at all the switches that are currently active, and make sure none of them are double switching. For instance, the ball in launch switch could be tied to something else. This is usually caused by a bad switch diode, but regardless, start with the switch matrix test screen.

I checked the switch matrix. The switches for the balls test ok. What other lights should be on the matrix? I have a few others that are "active".
