I have a T2 in pretty good condition. Everything works well except the bank of target lights that the cannon shoots at. The lights stop working intermittently. They light up properly when the game starts and test properly in test mode. When playing, they will often stop lighting up. Especially when shooting for a jackpot or for shooting for multiball. The lights will stop in the middle of the game and then start back up again, sometimes in the middle of a single ball. I reset the machine by turning off all power, replacing the EPROM with the newest version. That did not help. I then removed the AA batteries from the backup memory (correct term?) to reset all the memory. That solved the problem for a while but it has gradually been happening more and more often. I also have noticed that the longer the machine is on, the less likely the lights are to work. We had a party last night where it was on for several hours. By the end of the evening they didn't work at all. This morning they started out working properly but got worse over the course of three games. Any ideas on how to fix this problem. It kills some of the fun since you almost never can get the jackpots.

I think those are all in little black sockets on a lamp board. Try resoldering the connector pins on that lamp board.

I have same problem with 2-3 groups of ligths and the problems were:
1.Connector to the bank, not good connection
2.Cables that are in the connectors, not good connection too, when I push them everythings was working

As Kilgore posted, resolder the pins on the board the connector plugs onto.

Vibration and gravity is tough on them.

LTG : )

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try them as soon as I can and let you know if it works.

I took out the board the lights are attached to and tested with my ohm meter. I found one of the pins to the connector had a loose solder joint. After re-flowing the solder, it works perfectly. Only about ten minutes of work. Thanks for the help.
