Hello, I have a Termintor 2 pinball that just recently started blowing the left flipper F101 fuse. Everything appears ok with the solenoid. (not stuck) It will work for a few games then blow. I rebuilt both flippers about a year ago. Any ideas? Thanks! .

When does the fuse blow?

I had to replace the yellow caps on mine because it was blowing the fuse after a short time of play.

It varies, it blows after maybe 12 games or less. I did replace the caps and diodes when I rebuilt the flippers but that's not to say one could be bad.

Keep in mind that T2 is pre-fliptronic so full solenoid voltage is going through all of the EOS switch wiring as well. There are a lot of potential shorts among all of those wires, lugs, the spark-suppression capacitor, etc. something might be barely touching something else and the vibration from the flippers activating causes a momentary short.

Can also be bad flipper diode, or a worn spot on the solenoid that has rubbed through the paper cover and is touching something.

I would check all of the wiring very very closely for a potential intermittent short.

You could de-solder one power wire from each side at a time and run the flipper on the other side to narrow down which side is the problem.
