As always, I'll be there unless something catastrophic happens. Not sure what T-Shirt I will be wearing. I picked up a Red Ninty cab at the last auction. Still haven't bought any DK parts yet to begin the conversion. Still waiting for a wire harness to pop up on Ebay. That or a whole kit. I really don't need anything else. I hope to have a Qbert at the repair guy by then. Then maybe sell it by the next auction. But I will be there and be looking for everyone.

My VAPS listing is outdated now. Unfortunately I've had to liquidate most everything lately. I'm down to a JAMMA cab and a few random boards and even those are going soon.
I'm not out for good, though. I'll get back in soon enough.

I was planning on having this one fixed by a tech before I sold it. I have put so much money/time in it, I was going to ask 700 for it. But if you wanted I could probably sell it for 500 as it is. Currently, it has a working pcb and is playable, but it has some power supply problem. No 30 volts and it may have a short that is causing a problem. I have the original ps that I rebuilt, but something keeps blowing in its 5 volt circuit. I also have a spare pcboard that needs some sockets resoldered due to a bad background rom. I have an entire rom set. And I think it needs an odd ram chip that I don't have. Basically, its enough parts that a good tech could build a second working qbert. It may also need a wiring harness for the pcb as I thought I could replace the pin to the knocker circuit and had cut the wire before I found out you couldn't find those pins anymore. Could be hard wired in I suppose. I know that sounds like a lot wrong with it, but honestly, its just 2 or 3 minor things. Working Qbert-sound-knocker. If you are interested, I could probably send a pic. The tech I was going to have fix it can't get to it until after the new year. But hey, its drove me nuts and I wouldn't want any one not up for the challenge to get it.

I have to go in tomorrow with my Williams flowcharts to look at Defender.
Replaced the connector that was giving us issues, cleaned the pins, etc etc... plugged it in and it melted the connector and the boards aren't even giving a rug pattern anymore.
Soooooo... yeah.
Fuck keeping it original... converted it to a switcher after that and now I just need to get the boards fixed. So... yeah.

Switchers are just more user friendly. So it's up and running now?! I've got some quarters saved up for when I get back in murfreesboro. Im gonna dump 10 bucks in that machine!!

Q*Bert has a power problem NORMALLY, from what I undestand it requires MORE power in some aspect than other games (utilizing more electricity), other than that, you got me...

I just got a notice that the auction on the 9th was canceled so there is no need in any of you going. It will be the following weekend. The hotel had a swine flu outbreak.
