I picked this working Sarge up on my way home last night from work. It was less than 2 miles from my house (1.6 miles to be exact). Great price too!!!

Don't ever remember playing it in the arcades. I may have seen someone play it as I have a faint memory of the onscreen action. Anyway, the game is a blast!!!

Never played it in an arcade back in the day but I have played one. Didn't really get into it but seems like it could be good if I had spent more time playing it. The graphics style is similar to Rampage as they both use the Midway Monoboard. I miss my Rampage. Its fun destroying things.

Yes, first 2 or 3 times I played it, it was awkward, but then I got the hang of it. The player's tank even recoils when it shoots and you have to slough through the swamp and water, pretty cool. It does have a Rampage vibe to it, it even has 4 buildings on the 1st level that you can destroy. It's almost like a prequel/sequel or parallel dimension to Rampage.
