My ebay auction for this Super Strike just ended with a fat goose egg in the bid count. Nobody wanted it for even $9.99. I will be dismantling it of any remotely usable parts, including the board, coin door, power supply, harness, anything that can be removed will be saved. Ill even save the bezel and marquee and such.

So now what to do with a cabinet that already has multiple missing chunks of wood, holes drilled in the sides, and the onset of mildew? Should I pull an "Endrien" and burn it? Or should I pull a "Chuck E Cheese" and sledge it? Or both? Lets hear some ideas! It needs to be moved one way or another, as I may be expecting a Millipede tomorrow.

it's such a large cab to even think you could unload it if you 60 in 1'd it or mame'd it.

I have had good luck, with empty cabs, offering them for free on craigslist.

I suggest offer it for free for a week or two on CL, but if that doesn't work, take it to the next level. Head out to the desert and make it explode for no apparent reason. Amonium Nitrate fertilizer, a few gallons of Diesel, and some model rocket ignightors. Be sure to post it on Youtube.

Throw it off the roof of a 10-story parking garage, and do the pre-posted explosion thing half way down. Film it from both the roof of the garage and the ground floor. Tell them it's for a movie, that way you'll get away with it.

Don't even do it for free on CL. The local MAME kids are tripping over themselves here to get cabinets that are in such bad shape that even -I- won't take them (and that's saying a lot).

Put in on CL for $50 with pics. The size of that thing makes it about perfect for someone that wants to do a vertical MAME cabinet. Plenty of room for the computer, the CP would be very neat on that using the "bowling alley". Just enough room for a joystick, a good set of buttons (those mame kids LOVE buttons), and a trackball. It's in good shape, and for $50, I'd be surprised if you had it longer than a week without someone coming to pick it up.

Make sure you mention MAME, arcade, machine, and cabinet in the description so they'll find you via CL searches.

The elongated base makes it a perfect candidate for a 4 player MAME cab. Another favorable quality is the plexi angle works well for someone that also wanted to mount a monitor more upright to use with laser guns. Just sayin ;)

Yeah, eBay seems to be the wrong market for that. I'd think you'd move it pretty easy on CL.

+2 for $50

youd be suprised at what would sell for a higher price, Ive sold several things on CL for more than I was asking for it the month before, when I advertised it and got no hits.

Several years ago my nieghbors poodle got knocked up by the pug down the road. When she had the pups he ran an ad in the paper giving away free puppies, and a week went by with no takers. We were talking to him and he said he didnt know what he was going to do with all those dogs (had about 10 pups). Dad ran an ad in the paper for him, said "rare pugapoo puppies, $250 each. all sold the 1st day

Yep, most of the amateur mame guys want the massive oversized cabs. They think bigger is better. I have a friend who is planning on building a CP with every type of controller imaginable. I keep trying to talk him out of it but he is set on the idea.
