Temporarily pimping out my Tron

I can take a pic of it. I was going to when I was there just for fun. I played a few games on it for old time sake. I think the microswitch for the trigger is a little iffy, either that or the game just doesn't fire as rapidly as I remember it. I spoke with the owner about you and the game when I was in there. We both commented on how we thought the game was in pretty good shape, but that you would think it looked like garbage. ;)
Okay, there is a pizza joint here in MN that features classic arcade games and pinball, not to mention tournaments and I don't know about it? Whats the name of this place? PM me if nobody wants to say it out loud, Thanks man! :)

Brian, it is in Woodbury and it called DeLeo Bros. Pizza. It is on Tamarack, right off of 694.

Did we ever get a tally of how much money Chris made with this endeavor? I don't remember seeing it, but will re-read the thread now...

Not yet. There is a Tron contest there that goes through the end of the month, so it is a running tally so far. Pretty decent cash though, I would be happy if it was my Tron.

$250 aint bad. How long was it there?

About six weeks but they were also closed for both holidays and big ass snow storm that also fell on a weekend. The game has stayed running the whole time and i never had to do any repairs so that was nice.

I sure could use $275.50 right now...

Are you happy with the ammount, or just kind of meh...

I really can't be disappointed, i bought this thing along with two other games and after selling the other two, the tron was free plus money in my pocket. I capped the monitor, installed a temporary cooling fan and threw it in the pizza shop. It stayed running the entire time, never needed repair and i got a few free pizzas to boot.

Well, it's cool to hear the final tally, but I am disappointed in the total... :( Well, at least now we all know.

Good to hear... it did a shit ton better than what my space invaders cocktail pulls in...
I get about $20.00 a week out of a highly active coffee shop... almost every time I visit people are playing board games on it, using it for laptop holders or coffee. I just get the joy knowing people and kids play a game in 100% original condition from 1979. Sucker has been running 14 hours day with zero issues for almost 9 months now.

I am feeling a murderous intent! Laptops on a Cocktail?! I think if I saw that I would be overcome to knock those Macbooks right off and kick the asses of their pansy owners! :D

Reminds me of this Lewis CK clip which I just saw today:

What is there to be disappointed about? If you were a kid who has grown up with an XBOX, PS, or Nintendo product, why would you think twice about playing that game?

$250 is a great total. Beings there is a tiny market for TRON there, any and everybody who recognized it probably threw a quarter down and played it. I think thats cool.

What is there to be disappointed about? ...

I just figured it would pull a lot more, was all. As long as no damage happened to it, I guess it's still a win, but with the new movie, I had hoped he might at least hit 5 bills. Ah well.

And I never had an NES or XBOX I grew up with the Atari 2600. I'm an old fart. ;)
