Tempest Tempered Tinted glass wanted

Maybe not strictly aging causes tint to change

I thought we concluded that the purple tint was the result of aging.

It's possible that the color change is a combination of factors. My Tempest has been in my home with its original shield glass since 1985 and is very lightly used.

When I acquired it, it had been used in the Fun-n-Games at Cleveland's Randall Park Mall - probably from late 1981 or sometime in 1982 (factory stamps inside show a November 9, 1981 production date).

The coin counter inside reads 38,334 today. Maybe a system operated under different conditions would show a color shift in the glass - more plays/less plays.

Or it could be the other way around: if the glass started out more purplish and lost that with time and exposure to fluorescent lights/monitor emissions.
