I have a Tempest up for grabs. Will come with complete cab, tested and WORKING board set, wiring harness, AR2, and transformer. No monitor. The control panel is there but it needs some work as it has some rust. Has an Irish marquee overlay.

Make me a reasonable offer on this one. Be a good chance for someone wanting a Tempest to have a really nice restorable machine. Cabinet is about 6/10. Has some damage here and there but all fixable. Located in Huntsville AL. Can pallet and accommodate shipping if needed.

No, but there is now an easy way to rewind a yoke to make any raster monitor an xy.

And we have repro deflection boards

I also have original boardsets as well:

Fred Konopaska is the person making a modern boardset replacement, and posting the info about yoke rewinding. Find and join the FB group, 'Vectrex , XY and Vector monitors The Technical Side' for details.

That's awesome, thanks for the info boys!

500 takes this machine home if anyone wants it. Its worth more in parts alone. Save me the trouble of parting it out or turning it into a Tempest 2000 machine!

Working boardset: 225
AR2: 50
Harness: 125
Color Vector Transformer: 100
2 cone buttons: 50
Spinner: 50
Smoked glass: 50
Coin door: 50

And lay off the 100 dollar offers people. The listing clearly states "make me a reasonable offer" 100 - 150 is a joke. I am a reasonable person, and make fair deals with folks.

Love that line.

I swear this machine has been such a hassle to sell. I am so tempted to just take down the listing all together. I have gotten so may offers from people on here and on Facebook for 100 or 150. WTF people. A working board set goes for at least 200. I mean I get wanting something cheap, but damn.

It must be your location, you would have a line of people willing to pay your asking price in Denver.

Unfortunately the cost and work of finding and getting a working vector monitor for it is the biggest deterrent for most people. It isn't impossible to do, but that's the hurdle you're fighting.

Honestly, you'd be better off parting it out. More people need the parts than they do a complete game sans monitor.

This machine is way to nice to part out. The collector in me just cant do it. While I agree the monitor is the most difficult part to acquire out of all the parts on this game, there are plenty out there to be had. And Fred is about to turn on the third run of his repros which are awesome BTW.

If it doesn't sell in a couple days I am just gonna turn it into a Tempest 2000. I have been wanting to do for a while.

I can understand. A couple years ago I finally sold my Tempest Cocktail. It was immaculate and completely rebuilt and it still took me four years to sell plus what I sold it for makes me feel like I just watched a Browns game after seeing what they sell for now. Just be patient and it will sell.

Tempest never sells for what it's parts are worth. Everyone wants to pay $600 for Tempest when you can part it out for double that.

:( and

If you can't sell it I will drive to your house and we can blow it up on Facebook Live. :D

Please don't part it or ruin it (way too nice for that!). If you were closer, I'd buy it and put one of my spare K6100 in there!
