I have a Tempest with a Wells 6100. The image is slightly to the left. The tube is not crooked. Is there a way to correct this? Can I just turn the yoke a little?

I'm probably a little late on this, but I doubt the yoke is your problem. One Tempest that I've been working on had a screen that was almost 45deg rotated- and ALL the adjustments to fix it were on the Tempest PCB. There are several x/y adjustments on the board to fix this.

I have a Star Wars with a similar issue....

Can you go into more detail as to what causes/how to fix the issue?

My SW picture is not as far off as 45 degrees, but a little to the right, maybe 10 degress or so. I was going to adjust the yoke as well, but if I can do so on the board please let me know.

Thank you.

but if I can do so on the board please let me know.

Someone else may want to chime in on this, as my only experince right now is with the k6100 on a Tempest, and you may have an Amplifone and I know the avg is slightly different on SW.

But basically, there are two game boards- the main pcb and the vector generator board (which i am likening to a pc video card), on that board are several pots for adjusting the vectors: x,y screen size, x,y rot and a few other things you would normally find on the monitor side, but in these games is also on these vg boards.

I thought for sure my yoke was off too- but I am so glad I didn't go messing with it first. Hope it helps!

If you discharge the tube you will not have it on. Therefore you will not be able to adjust the yoke for proper alignment. Short answer: you must have the monitor powered to see the changes that moving the yoke creates.

Just be mindful and avoid the danger spots like the neckboard back and the anode wire (in case it's cracked).
