Alright, pulled out the degausser coil and viola! Everything is in working order.....

I just saw those chassis transistors for the first time tonite and for a newbie solder-sculpturer like me, that will be a nightmare repair! glad to see yours is back up and running though!

The good new is, those transistors are not soldered in! When you unscrew them, they come out of a socket that the wires are soldered onto. Sometimes those wires will fall off causing this exact problem, so double check the wires before the transistors if you are having collapse issues.

WHEW! Maybe now I'll order them then! I looked at them briefly last night, and didn't see any wires detached but, maybe they need the ole reflow action. Oh well, we'll see what changes big blue makes when it gets in there this week.
