Tempest Issue...

My Tempest does this sometimes. I didn't see anything like this so I thought I would post it and see if someone has seen this problem. I have attached a picture of Test mode. There are no beeps or anything. It starts fine just acts weird intermittently.

This is during attract mode:


It also does it randomly during gameplay.

What's been done with the board set?

I would start with re-flowing the interconnect headers.

Looks like you are loosing the signals to and from the aux board.

I haven't done anything with it yet. It is intermittent and it seemed that it would come and go when moving those interconnecting wires but I wasn't sure. I'm not skilled enough to do that so I will look into having it done probably. I saw that you are not taking any pcbs but if you do I will get with you. I live in the next town over.
 
Yeah, this looks like an interconnect problem. I'd start by swapping the cable (Bob Roberts sells new ones for $20) and using a fiberglass pen to clean up the header pins.
