Tempest Irish Marquee Interest

Way cool. Was fun to be able to contribute to the community. The printer used a different vinyl that I had. How was the install?
Went on great! I had to do a lot of prep, though.

I peeled as much of the original marquee off the glass as I could, then coated the rest in Goo Gone, let it set, and scraped with a razor. I pulled the remaining bits of marquee off the wood frame, and pulled the staples. Then I sanded off the old adhesive, and shot a coat of satin black on the wood, as well as on the metal grille. I positioned the new marquee by shining a bright light from the back to center the image over the lighted area, and secured it with masking tape on each side. I peeled back about 3" of backing and cut it with scissors, then stuck that part down with a vinyl application tool (squeegee). Then I took off the tape and peeled the rest of the backing off, and worked it down a little at a time with the tool. Went on perfectly straight, with no bubbles or wrinkles.

Thanks for letting us know. Gotta try and do mine now 😅 but I'm sure it'll be worth it. Sure looks great on your's!

Awesome!
I was surprised on how much goop was on the old one. Sanding and spraying the wood is what I did as well.

Looks great!

Just wanted to say Thank You @supertechnoboy and @MonsterBash! Installation took longer than expected due to life's handy way of causing unexpected delays, but the result was well worth it. Very pleased with the results and thank you both for taking the time and effort to make this available.
