When I bought this Tempest the game was squeezed to the right side of the monitor so I sent it to Dick in Seattle, he did some work on it and sent it back. I plugged it back in same problem. I tried to adjust with no luck.I put it in djw90's tempest same thing so I sent it back to Dick in Seattle .I get it back today same thing.Has anyone seen this before?

Here is a picture of the screen.

My question is what are you changing / not changing? You swapping Tempest PCB only? Has a known good board worked in this cabinet?

He bought his tempest not working in seattle. Send Pcb for repairs look like this in his machine, so we put repaired PCB it in my working cabinet looks the same. It was returned for repair again. He got it back today looks the same.

That certainly cleared up what you are doing, but doesn't give me a clue. Not sure what would cause it to work for the repairman, but not in your cabs. Was it broke when he got it back or did it just work for him? Is the power supply in the purchased cabinet working? It would suck if putting the board in the cabinet was damaging the board. That's why it would be good to know if he saw the recurrence or not.

I did not talk to repair guy, but I believe the second time back he said the board was fine, just out of adjustment. So we assumed when it came back this time it would be close, maybe needing minor adjustment. Last time when we tried to adjust board we could not get it centered and picture was scrunched to the left.

I put the game in test mode advance to the screen with the white frame.I can not adjust the left side vertical line past the middle of the screen.

I just want to check that your adjusting all of the different pots to try and get it on screen correctly since there are so many damn pots on Tempest. Attached is the Atari instructions from the schematic package.
