hey fellas! finished my SW and am moving onto a tempest cocktail i got yesterday. 6100 works decent enough for now ( tested in my SW has all colors) previous owner used a jamma connector for the main board (avg) and his wiring is fugged right up :( i was able to kind of get a pic but only in green by moving one of the wires .
can someone PLEASE snap a pic of the front and the back of that connector for me so i can get those wires correct?? i have no manuals or schematics yet.

Within the schematics, a letter or number in a square box is the edge connector, in a hexagon is the board to board connector. But the bottom center box on sheet 1 side B (overall wiring) is probably the best bet.

This is the area that shows the edge connector. All of the info you need is there.

awesome! couple wires were in the wrong spots, i only have green showing i will try the plugs in the molex at the monitor and see if the issue is there . i think it has vrom issues as in test mode i get the constant ring noise and the vectors all all over the place. all the pots are toast on the avg board, and it will switch over to attract mode showing free play with two credits but it wont start a game, i think there might be aux board issues on the input side also , i will do some reflows tonight and report back.

checking P20 over shows thigs somewhat ok, just sloppy although the green output goes to pin N (coin counter R this is in a cocktail machine , no coin counter R only L) when i desolder it and put it to pin L where it supposed to go i get nothing on the screen. i think i have shorted transistors in the avg output section .
i think it's pulling V's to the monitor via the coin counter(10vdc) to amplify the signal pulling it out of spot killer.
i also think this is why i am only seeing green , that bright spot ( i have the brightness almost at nothing) and crazy vector drawings.

switched the green to the proper tab on the edge card and swapped out the pots except for the 200ohms , supplier didnt have an of those, 6 of the 8 i did swap had a broken leg (2X got sucked up into my hakko grr) screen is looking better, 6100 need a full shop. it has this pic but i didnt have the aux board in. i am going to reflow the pins for the aux ( it looks like chicken poop , worst soldering i have ever seen) and hit all the IC's and sockets with deoxit and the fibreglass pen and report back.

starting to look pretty good! have a Q and a continuous tone in test. the attract runs well , set to free play but non responsive, wont start a game up.
