Tempest flyback- pls look at this so I don't f* up.

OK so I started my review of the Tempest flyback so I can remove the old one and replace the new. The pin # matches up (there are 11), but in the attached pic you'll see where I've numbered that only FIVE of the pins are soldered to the board, the other 6 are just hanging free. I see the traces for the 5 that are soldered, so I'm guessing that's all that needs to be done?

Also, at solder point #3 (see my pic), it's got a little mo-bob jumper going to a solder point ABOVE that one. Do I need to do that when I solder the new one in? This has me a little spooked.

Thanks!

Yes, there are unused pins that hang free and you don't need to solder those. And you should be able to look at the trace to see if it should bridge those other two solder spots.

The patient will live- this has been swapped successfully. Now on to all of the other components on the HV board.... (shaking)

What does one do with the bracket that held the original flyback in place? The new one does not have the same mounting studs that the old one did to secure it.
