I have a Tempest PCB set that stopped working and I was looking over the Aux PCB. I noticed the PROM at location A1 (Part No. 136002-126) was really cruddy looking.
Being the dumb ass that I am, I figured I would pull it out and clean it... or at least re-seat it.
Doh... one of the legs decided to stay behind in the socket.

So... what is the best approach to get around this unexpected result?

Can I get a replacement somewhere?

Easy fix

Solder the leg back on the chip. You could also solder a jumper lead from the

Chip to the socket hole. All this is asumption that you have some

of the leg left to solder a jumper.

Yep, the cheap fix is to solder a leg on it. I just the stubs I clip off of resistors. But hobby roms, and Bob Roberts can burn it for you.
