I've checked the +5 voltage on my Tempest AR II board and it reads 4.25V. Is this related to the R29 resistor? It doesn't look burned out ..... Will this affect the +5V on the Tempest board itself? Because thats also reading the same.

Thanks for helping
Jim

Well, assuming you're getting 5v at the PCM you have worn edge connectors possibly or the ar2 board needs a rebuild. I would probably do edge connectors and a ar2 rebuild.

to adjust what i said earlier, i didn't read your full post. if the +5 is reading the same at the board and ar2 that is good (at least in that there is most like no problem with the sense circuit.). however, i would still look at an ar2 rebuild, as that could be why your voltage is low.

I think I'd try shotgunning that a/r board first, see if you can get it to hold 5 volts. And put the sense circuit out of the equation. This prevents edge connector burn too.
