First game I ever bought, non-working, last game I got up and running. Big blue + AR2 rebuild got it playing blind, cap kit didn't cure the monitor woes. Went back last weekend and traced through monitor stuff and got it working.

I've been playing it every day this week, and man, what an awesome game. Incredible that this is thirty years old. I'm too young to have played it in the arcades, but I fell in love with vector games in general and Tempest specifically because of Microsoft Arcade — which is now than Tempest was when it came out. I don't know if the real thing is harder or my 20-year-older reflexes suck more, but it's very challenging. I love it.
