Love seeing boxed consoles...Wish I kept more of my boxes back in the day.
Right now I have boxes for
Odyssey2
Sega Genesis
PSOne
Sega Dreamcast
Xbox (modded)
Xbox360

And my favorite:

Oh I forgot, I picked this thing up too...

Another regret I have aside from trading away my original NES was when I threw away all my N64 game boxes. Damn near every game I had was bought new and I kept all the boxes, manuals, etc. At some point when cleaning stuff at my parents' house, I tossed them. It took a while for me to actually do it and looking back now, I don't know why I did. They only took up part of a standard small moving box but make a pretty big difference in value for some of the ones I had. They were almost all mint, too. Oh well.

Agreed. I still have the boxes for all my consoles going back to the Saturn at least. I had kept the SNES one for a long time, but I'm not sure what happened to it.

Oh, on lending stuff out -- I have no clue who the hell I leant my Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 games out to. Son-of-a!

Seriously, unless it's family or a close friend, I usually don't lend games. My older brother lent a bunch of Saturn stuff including Saturn Bomberman (w/ controllers and links), Panzer Dragoon, etc. to some guy years ago. He either lost or sold them since then. Sucks because that's probably $200+ of Saturn stuff. I still have Dragonforce and Guardian Heroes though.

Consoles:
Intellivision: Loved Advanced D&D on this thing, played that for hours. Prized games I have for it include Tower of Doom and Thunder Castle.
Super Nintendo: Fave games are probably Donkey Kong Country, MK2, Super SF2 and Legend of Zelda Link to the Past. Other prized games I have: Mario RPG, Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger
PlayStation: Gran Turismo soaked up many, many hours. Also have Star Ocean 2nd Story, and all the Final Fantasy games for it except for VIII.
PlayStation 2: Gran Turismo 4, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus
XBOX (crystal version): Forza Motorsport, Outrun Coast 2 Coast
Wii: Donkey Kong Country Returns, Mario Kart Wii
XBOX 360: Forza 3, SSF4 (seeing a pattern here...)

Computers:
I had a C64, now sold: Elite, Paradroid, Last Ninja
I have a Commodore Plus 4 somewhere...
Amiga 500: Dungeon Master, Shadow of the Beast, Super Cars, Captive, Hired Guns, Gods, Carrier Command, Starglider 2, Frontier, Speedball 2, Hybris, Rainbow Islands... Man, the Amiga was good.
Amiga 1200: Civilization AGA

Handhelds:
Atari Lynx and 2x Lynx II: Stun Runner
Gameboy Color (atomic purple): Pokemon Silver/Crystal
Gameboy Advance: Advance Wars, Astroboy Omega Factor, Zelda Minish Cap
Nintendo DS: Professor Layton, Mario Kart, New SMB, Advance Wars

Having the box is a big part of these games for me. Almost all my games are boxed, I only have a few loose carts for the Intellivision and a couple for the SNES.

Yep. I lent my copy of Secret of Mana to a fried in high school. I never got it back. I ran into him at Best Buy one day and mentioned it. He said he'd look for it and I gave him my number. He called and left me a message weeks later saying he found it at his parents' place. Of course he didn't leave a callback number. Oh well.

I've only recently begun to finally catalog and document/photograph my collection, which has been building steadily for a few years. As of now my collection consists of:

* Over 40 US consoles
* Over 600 games across those consoles
* Many rare and hard-to-find accessories and games

Some of my highlights:

* Almost every major RPG released for SNES, including Earthbound
* Complete R.O.B. the robot, boxed U-Force and boxed Powerglove for NES
* Over 140 unique NES games
* JVC X'Eye console
* Boxed mint cnsoles: SNES, Genesis 1, Super Scope Six, launch 20 gig Xbox 360 (one of the first 500 units shipped), launch CECHA01 PS3 (one of the first 1000 units shipped) and launch Wii (one of the first 500 units shipped)
* 3 each of PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii...the mint boxed units described above, one each that is legal and ready for online play, and one each that has been Twilight Hacked, JTAGed, Jailbroken etc and has upgraded 500 gig WD hard drives.

I'm still in the process of photographing everything...here's a link to my Flickr gallery for what's completed so far: Flicker

Once my Mancave is complete (complete with 6 70s/80s uprights, restored 7 1/2" pool table, pinball tables and all the consoles listed above), I'll post pics :)

I forgot to take pics because I got all wrapped up in watching movies last night. I figure I can at least post my systems to start for now.

SNES (broken)
PS2 fatbody
PS2 fatbody (broken)
PS3
Game Boy Advance SP
Sega Nomad
Sega Genesis v2
Sega Saturn
Sega Dreamcast (not mine)
Win98 PC

The Dreamcast isn't mine. I am borrowing it from a friend that went to Homeland Security training for two years, so when he gets back I will probably need to get another one.

I've got to CIB NES games, After Burner and Dr Mario. I like how they display on the shelf. Here is one old picture of my collection:

I have 16,000+ different console games and CIB collections of most North American game system collections...

Well, I've been a console gamer since the NES landed in our shores. Got my first console as a toddler for my big brother and I to share, and that pretty much indoctrinated me as a game fanatic from that point on.

While lately I buy mostly arcade PCBs rather than working on my console collection, I still consider myself primarily a console collector.

Currently I own:

Nintendo Entertainment System x2
Super Nintendo x2
Nintendo 64
Gamecube
Virtual Boy
Game Boy
Game Boy Color
Game Boy Advance
Nintendo DS x2
Wii
Nintendo 3DS

Sega Master System
Sega Genesis (Model 1)
Sega Genesis (Model 2)
Sega 32X
Sega CD (model 2)
Game Gear x2
Sega Saturn (USx2 JPx1)
Sega Dreamcast (x2)

Neo Geo AES
Neo Geo Pocket Color (x3)

Panasonic 3D0 FZ-10

NEC Turbografx 16
NEC PC-Engine Duo

Atari 2600
Atari Jaguar (x2)

Sony Playstation (x2, 1 region modded)
Sony Playstation 2
Sony Playstation 3
Sony PSP

Xbox
Xbox 360

Nokia Ngage

I likely have more I can't think of, but that's all that comes to mind right now.

As for software, I have in the area of 700 games.

I've been into arcade collecting for the past five years. It started with my wife and I both having a dream about getting an MVS one night (a few months after getting our Neo Geo), so we checked out eBay and the first result was actually in our hometown. Later that day I went to work and my wife went bid crazy on snagging our first cabinet, a MV-4-25 revision 3.

Now our total list of cabinets is:

Neo Geo MV-4-25
Super Neo 29 Candy
Capcom Q25
Donkey Kong Junior
Killer Instinct conversion cabinet

That's about it.

Here's mine. I've been expanding my console collection quite a bit in the last year or so. Next to each console I will post my favorite game (from my current collection). Faves change almost daily but here's what I'm thinking today.

Atari 2600 (Telegames Heavy Sixer): Yar's Revenge
Atari 2600 (Jr. model): See Above
Atari 7800: Ms. Pac Man
Colecovision: Mousetrap
Vectrex: Cosmic Chasm
Intellivision: Astro Smash
NES x 3: Castlevania III
Gameboy: Gargoyle's Quest
Genesis: Streets of Rage
GBA: Metroid Fusion
SNES: F-Zero
DS: Mario Kart
Dreamcast: Giga Wing
Gamecube: Eternal Darkness
PS2: Shadow of the Colossus
Wii: Mario Galaxy
Xbox 360: Skyrim
Almost forgot......3DS: Super Street Fighter 4 3d

Man....I need to sell some of this shit.
Who am I kidding? I'll probably have a Sega MS in the next update.

Cheers,

Bob

I must say, I've read more about your collection over at Nintendo Age, and I think you have the best collection of all.

As for my collection. I've been gaming as long as I can remember. I started on a 286 and Atari 2600.

It wasn't until the N64 that I ended up with a current generation system before that it was always the previous generation.

I also never got much new stuff. Almost always used. I kept the box for my N64, and still have that today, but I can't recall for the life of me what I did with my SNES box (mini style with Target Zelda pack in... bought with Christmas money)

I'm a Nintendo nerd at heart. Nintendo got me in to the arcade scene, too, with my PC10 and Vs. Super Mario Bros.

Recently I've been focusing on my NES collection, and I'm up to 270 carts.

I've sold off or traded some of my other stuff like Turbografx 16 and Sega Genesis, because I wanted to focus my collecting.

I also collect Sony stuff, since the PS2 introduced me to more modern gaming, and some of my favorite series. I'm up to about 176 PS2 games.
