I need assistance with a TE2001 VGA monitor in my galaga 60 in 1 cabinet. Everytime I turn the system off and turn it back on the settings get all screwed up. I have to reset the contrast and brightness and any other settings I have done. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

update

I plugged the monitor into a seperate power and power cycled the board. This caused the monitor to screw up the settings. I tried the same thing with a LCD and the image did not change. I am thinking there is something wrong with the monitor when it loses signal from the board. I'm no expert (barely a novist) when it comes to monitors. That's why I posted it here. If I can't get it figured out I will probably pull the CRT and put in a 19" lcd

Hey Ken,

Thanks for the suggestion but when I called they kinda snickered at me....They haven't done CRT monitors in many years. George (the tech support did give it a try but he had no clue about crt monitors). He kept asking me about the on screen menu and saving. I told him that the settings were not onscreen that they were done with different lights on a board on the monitor itself and he couldn't help me. I bought this from Dave @ davesarcade.com a month or so ago. I think it is NOS.

Many (but not all) Telco and Telcovision monitors are rebranded Kortek monitors. Usually Telco used the last four digits of the original Kortek model number.

Suggest checking with the Kortek repair centers like Casino Tech in Las Vegas.

I will give it a shot. The cabinet is one of 2 projects I'm working on at the moment so I'm not it that big of a rush. If I can't get it to stop resetting I may just extend the controls so they are accessible from the coin door area. The monitor works well after the adjustments.

Hey Ken,

Just wanted to let you know that I got in touch with David @ davesarcade.com. We got on the phone today and figured it out. Apparently When I was doing something inside the cabinet I bumped the 2 analog controls on the board. They happened to be birghtness and focus. I felt like a dumbass. Simple solution and I completely missed it. David was a great help. Thanks for your time to respond to my thread.
