just picked up a cheap burn free 25-6-or7 inch monitor..

its branded "telco-vision" on the neckboard cover.. HAs anyone heard of it? if so hows quality? kind of looks like a wei-ya chassis or something and i think the tube is a 8 pin job as it looks pretty small at the end.

hopefully it works and ill be happy.. but depending on others peoples experiences with this brand will dictate which machine it gets put into.
tags indicate it was built in 1997...

thanks guys.

Telcovision (Telco Intercontinental Com) sells Kortek monitors rebranded as Telco.

http://www.telcocomm.com/

They use Kortek model numbers as Telco model numbers. So a Telco KT-1403V is really a Kortek KT-1403V.

Many of the Telco/Kortek KT-1403V (14", VGA) and KT-1903V (19", VGA) were used in the Merit "Megatouch" machines.

Before you give up on the tube...I'd blast the piss out of it. I've had a few come back.....I've also killed a few :)

gonna crank up the heater and g1 tonight and see what happens.. reds fine blue is fair green is nada no show on the gauge.. if i crank up the gains i see green but it just smears its not defined at all.

no dice... gonn ahave to tubeswap it.

man the arcade gods just hate me lately.. its a shame too because of course the tube in thing thing is BURN FREE

let the tube swap and 30 hour convergence session begin...

got her done.. i had a few tube choices in my stash..

was it the rca tv tube with the nanao yoke?

was it the k7000 tybe and yoke?

was it the k7400 tube and yoke?

was it coloniel mustard in the kitchen with a lead pipe? :D

after about a year of stashing the 7400 tube hoping to find a chassis, i finally put it to use..

this thing has a yoke that ohms out at 1.8 on blue/red and 5.3 respectively.

my 7400 yoke ohmed out at 1.9 on blue/red and 7.1 respectively. Not perfect but close, and id rather have it too high of resistance than the other way round.. i figured worst case the pic would be too small..

changing it out was easy all the connectors plugged right in etc..

fired it up and held my breath.. IT LIVES nice colors too.. im glad i held onto this tube..

i still think ill hang into the original yoke just in case but yeah man she lives..

even had to torn down the b+ a little to shrink the pic.. hopefully thatll help this thing live a longer life too..

could use caps but for what im going to probhably get out of this damn indy heat, im not going to bother... WHOOHOO!!!

fixed the width coil tonight.. the coil was still there but the plastc sleeve and ferrite was gone. i took apart a k7000 coil. stripped it down and used that plastic sleeve and ferrite.. worked like a charm.. it fits right in the hole, and works well. i used a dab of silicone to hold it in there. im so glad i finally have this thing working..
