Picked up a dedicated TMNT machine today from a member on here. Has the normal wear and tear like the plexi for the marquee and monitor needs to be replaced which I'll switch to lexan. CPO and side art needs replaced which I already have. T-molding needs replaced as well.

Machine needs to be sanded down badly and bondo applied all around the bottom and sides and also the control panel and box. For the joysticks I am getting rid of the black ones and have all four wicos on the way.

Monitor looks good, JAMMA harness, power supply and all are good. I'll be posting pictures as I progress.

Machine is now completely gutted and ready for some work to be done.

When the machine is ready I plan on getting a Mikes Arcade double JAMMA switcher installed so I can also have turtles in time running as well.

He didnt get the missprints, bradp56 got one and the other sold to a guy 30 minutes from me. Can't wait to see this get done, make sure you post lots of pics! :)

Yeah this is the reason I am no longer printing TMNT graphics, and many other graphics for that matter. I am color blind and cannot see the difference in the prints, they look perfect to me. I stick with more vector graphics now that I can match colors better. I am not sure how I can fix this problem for you.. I would have to print 20 prints just to get the color correct probably.

edit: been a graphic designer for many many years now and never had problems until I got into arcade graphic printing.. lol

I did not. Mine does look way too green in the middle section. Guessing I should look into this with him....

It's just the color change on the bottom section. I have seen true nos and its like that. If you got it from Rick, its a high Rez scan from NOS and in great quality.

hahaha I'm sorry rick but that's too funny. A graphic designer who can't decipher colors. That's like a librarian who can't read. Thankfully you're not too color blind if it's only recently affected you. :)

LOL.. yeah, I sometimes wonder how the hell I got involved in this in the first place.. I have worked for a few photo labs, graphic design places and for the most part it hasn't affected me to much. Most of the time I can get the colors from a sample, scan or something and I get it pretty close but this TMNT thing has been a nightmare.. lol I also a few years back played FPS games professionally and I was pretty high up in the ranks.. but color blindness in a game like MW3 (even with color blind mode turned on) still messed me up many times.. oops.. shot my own teammate...

Finally got some time to work on the cab. Sanded the left side which took some time since the original TMNT side art was under about 2 thick coats of black paint. Still have the front, right and back to do as well as bondo everything that's broke off.

Sanded the whole control panel down and used bondo on the corners and extra button holes. Still have to fine sand the bondo down then respray it black.

I have some extra time tomorrow again. Going to sand the rest of the cab. Hopefully I can get this done before I leave to head overseas again.

Well after about a month of being busy I finally had some time today to work on the machine. Got everything sanded, repainted, put the monitor in and the side art put on.
Everything turned out nice. No more missing wood on the corners or bolt/screw holes.

The only thing I have left to do is install the new lexan for the marquee and the monitor, install the coin doors, slap on the CPO and install the joys & buttons.

Looking good, never seen the start buttons done like that, very interesting.

Thanks Brood!

TMNT didn't have start buttons (That I can remember). Each turtle had it's own quarter slot. Put one in and press the attack or jump button to start the game. Instead of putting in quarters since TMNT did not have free play mode, I installed those buttons.
