Another one of my small issues on the last machine I need to fix. Again, thanks to all for all the issues I have posted on other games - This forum is the best help I have ever received on my toys.

My RFM main center Ramps sticks - During a sequence, no issues - get to the end, Ramp goes up - hit the shot, ends the sequence. BUT - the ramp stays up ... It will stay up until you send a ball up the ramp, which forces it down. I have figured out that its mechanical since it stays up if you kill the power to the game while its up.

Ive looked all over it and I cant see whats causing it ... Has anyone run into this that may be able to send me in a direction?

I'm not personally familiar with this mechanism, however I'll take a guess and assume it's just like williams/bally did with any other game with a ramp flap.
First of all, lift the pf up and manually move that ramp flap and identify the actual moving parts and inspect those for METAL parts for wear.

It'll have at least one coil and coils can get hot and distort the coil sleeve which can affect the plunger travel. Dirt is typically the enemy at hand though. Pull the coil sleeve out and use water and a q-tip to clean it. If the coil sleeve doesn;t come out you really should replace the coil as the coil sleeve is surely distorted.
Inspect the plunger and coil stop. If they are mushroomed or worn just replace them (while some will say to sand them down to smooth).

I would assume a plunger link is involved - where the link attaches to the plunger if there's massive side to side play or up and down free play then just order a plunger with the link already installed (lazy mans fix) heh.

You're right - it's certainly hardware that's hanging that ramp up.

Thanks for the tips - You got me to thinking, so I pulled the playfield and looked closely at the ramp unit - It can be adjusted up and down, slightly - I moved it down about 2mm and it works great now ....

Thanks for the insight
