Check all of the ribbon cables.....one's either shifted a pin, or a pin is bent out and not connecting (or you received a bad display).

I checked the ribbon cable, looks good. No bent or missed pins. I sent an e-mail to RD, I'll wait and see what they suggest.
Thanks,
-Dave

It could be a CPU board issue....one of the PIA's that (ultimately) feed the display.....or associated resistor networks.

Since it was working fine before I'll have to assume that it's the new display. I've been working with Jim at RD, he's helping me troubleshoot the problem. I'll post once it's been resolved. Thanks.

OK, so I sent my display to Jim at RottenDog and it's working fine for him. Where should I start looking to fix this problem on my Simpsons Pin? One suggestion was to check the "PIA's that (ultimately) feed the display" not sure where on the main CPU this is. Also anything or anyway I can check these parts without just replacing them? Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

Have you reseated the ribbon cable on the CPU side or just the display side? I would reseat the ribbon cable a few times on the CPU side to make sure the pins are clean. Also, before you get too deep into CPU repair, ribbon cables do go bad, for a few bucks (and easy replacement), it may be worth it to pop a new cable in there to see how it responds.

Yea, I checked out the ribbon cable first. re-seated it on both ends and even reversed it at both ends but there was no change on the display. Also checked for bent or missed pins, on both ends, no luck there ether. Thanks.

You might also check the cable itself (if you don't want to just replace it). Remove the clip over each end, and do a continuity check between the corresponding pairs of pointed prongs at each end of the cable.
