I just purchased a Pacman Cocktail that was converted to a 60-n-1 game using the JAMMA harness and new power supply. Worked great for a couple of days. I was looking inside the cabinet today as the fan was making noise. Turned out the wiring harness was hitting it. So I decided it would be best to clean up the wiring a little by mounting the 60-n-1 board on PCB "feet" as it was kinda sideways and loose and mounted right to the cabinet. I had to disconnect the wiring harness to do that. Once I remounted to board the green light came on as usual, but the LED3 Orange light also came on. I do not have the manual so I do not know what that is or means. The game does not start and the monitor does not come on. The fan starts as well as the lights and the boards itself had the green and orange light on, but nothing else. I looked and I'm pretty sure the harness is on correctly though it is not keyed. What the heck could be happening? What is the LED3 light?

This is not the Lizard Lick board, likely a Made in China 60-n-1, but very common. Recall the manual (which I do not have with me) said "Arcade Classics" on the front.

Any help appreciated.

Well, double check that harness connector. One side should have 4 black, 4 red, then 2 each of another color (depending on the maker). That side connects to the board on the end with the 6-pins (on each side) with the small cutout next to it.

And make sure you didn't accidentally turn dip switch #2 or #4 on while handling it...

did you plug the harness(jamma) on in the correct direction. Just asking... Sometimes it's the simple stuff that gets looked over.

Mark..

Thanks everyone. Turned out to be multiple things. Harness was plugged in correctly, but the connector to the monitor wasn't making a good connection. Reseated that a couple of times and now it's working well. Based upon other comments, unplugged the fan as it doesn't seem to be needed any longer since the pacman pcb is not used (it's removed from the cabinet). Also have a surge suppressor being used to provide power to the entire cabinet, leaving the cabinet switch on 24/7. Don't like this setup and will look to re-wire so that the cabinet switch controls all power.

Thanks

Yep, it's working. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that. Just want to clean up the power wiring so that I can run the entire cabinet off the original off/on switch on the bottom.

Thanks!
