The monitor in my Pub Time Premiere won't come on. It worked fine a few months ago, and then a month ago when I went to play darts, nothing.

No neck glow, but I'm certain the flyback is fine. While checking some voltages today, I saw (for a second) a ripple on the monitor. I think my probe shorted across something and brought it to life for a second.

I did a complete cap kit (not figuring that it would solve it, but it never hurts).

The monitor chassis is receiving the 12VDC from the main supply. It does look like D10 is getting 12V in but coming out it's like .1something. Certainly, I'm not sure if that's the problem.

Has anyone had a 9" MT3000 go out on them and find a dead transistor or something? I've been away from monitor repair for almost 10 years and am vague on how to troubleshoot this thing. Or, is there anyone near Slatington, PA (1/2 hour north of Allentown) that would like to earn a case of beer for doing a repair? ;-)

I found a "hidden" technical bulletin on Merit's website that deals with the Hantarex and Tripole monitor problems. Part ordered and we'll see if it fixes it!

Until then, I did get a CCTV monitor and hooked it up externally so I can play the machine.

So what was the problem?

The flyback. At that time, I found the very last flyback in the USA, and it fixed it. I played the machine again tonight, and all was well.
