so i have this gorf project pcb im working on and when i went to test it tonight it seems that the game will coin up and start but i cannot move the joystick at all, it did have some random color issue with the blue and the sounds were funky but all that somehow cleared up, but at that time i was having those problems the joystick was still working. now all of a sudden the colors and sound work fine but the inputs dont except the coin switch and the start buttons. what could be wrong with my board????? im clueless here.

Check your control panel wiring first. Make sure it has a good ground. You might have a flaky custom on the IO board, they tend to go bad from heat. Not as bad as the two on the cpu but I have seen a few go bad and they usually get flaky and dont go completely out. The two on the IO board are 40 pin chips and both the same. Try swapping them around and see if your symptoms change. If not, probably not the customs.
