I aquired a Sprint 2 a couple weeks ago and it has a TEC TM-623 monitor in it. I fired it up and got picture but it was wavy. I found the manual online and it doesn't have too much info in it.
I capped it with a list of caps in a thread (thanks Ken Layton)
I reinstalled it and I honestly can't remember if it's better or not, It does still have the wave though.
Someone has worked on it before and replaced the can style capacitor.
The ratings are off somewhat.
Manual calls for a 450uf 200v cap - someone put in a 470uf 200v (I figured that would be fine)
Manual calls for a 100mf 160v cap - someone put in a 600uf 100v (seems way off)
Do you think the last cap if right would help??
I found the B+ adjustment, I don't know where the test point is or what it's supposed to be, can anyone help with that?
I know it's the worst of the B&W monitors, but if anyone has any help to offer I'd appreciate it. - Barry
