I aquired a Sprint 2 a couple weeks ago and it has a TEC TM-623 monitor in it. I fired it up and got picture but it was wavy. I found the manual online and it doesn't have too much info in it.

I capped it with a list of caps in a thread (thanks Ken Layton)
I reinstalled it and I honestly can't remember if it's better or not, It does still have the wave though.

Someone has worked on it before and replaced the can style capacitor.

The ratings are off somewhat.

Manual calls for a 450uf 200v cap - someone put in a 470uf 200v (I figured that would be fine)
Manual calls for a 100mf 160v cap - someone put in a 600uf 100v (seems way off)

Do you think the last cap if right would help??

I found the B+ adjustment, I don't know where the test point is or what it's supposed to be, can anyone help with that?

I know it's the worst of the B&W monitors, but if anyone has any help to offer I'd appreciate it. - Barry

I put the proper cap in there with little/no change. I noticed the power regulator and the vertical output transistors were the same, I swapped them and now I have vertical collapse which tells me one is bad. I'll order another, I really need to know the b+ though. - Barry

Thanks to Dave (Dokert) I got a new voltage regulator. The big wave has stopped and I can get the B+ right on 100v. The picture is better but it's off center to the left and I can't seem to find an adjustment to move it. - Barry

On the yoke should be a couple of metal tabbed rings. Rotate each one of the tabbed rings to center the picture. Do not loosen the yoke itself though.

Played with the rings and adjustments and got a decent picture. I ran power and signal from my Gran Trak 10 for testing as I have not fixed and tested the Sprint board. The width coil makes all kinds of noise but I can't hear it with the back door on it. So for now it's good. Thanks everyone. - Barry
