Team Play Centipede/Millipede/Missile Command/Let's Go Bowling.

I was going to Dave and Buster's yesterday, hoping that they got new games in, and this was one of the ones I had not played before. I thought Let's Go Bowling was just some really obscure game from the 80's that I had never heard of, but apparently it's brand new, just designed to look old. The machine itself, the trackball seems to stick out way too much. I can wrap my hand around it and lift it out of the rollers. Are they all like that? Anyone else play one of these?

Is this game of the JAMMA standard? Anyone know where I can just buy the PCB? I think I'm going to find a JAMMA cab with a trackball and make it into one of these.

I have a restored Missile Command cab with the Team Play board in it. It's a tiny JAMMA board. I've never played on the actual Team Play cab tho so I can't comment on the wonky trackball you mentioned.

I have two customers with this game, and the trackballs are fine. Seems like that location game has probably had a drink spilled on it...

Yes they all have the "High-ball" style of trackball which is kindof odd. These are pretty decent multigames... having Centipede and Missile Command... MC is rotated and stretched to be on a vertical monitor. Overall it's pretty decent for a classic reissue type of game, this is coming from someone who has both an original MC and original Centipede.

I always wondered about "Lets Go Bowling", I also figured it was an old uncommon game...

I owned a cabaret version of this, the high trackball took some getting used to for sure.

The mini was heavy as all get out. All MDF wood. Well built though. I always wished there was just a multipede marquee you could get for it

The let's go bowling game is awful and has no business being there

The pcbs do have a common issue where the eeprom fails and will cause the let's go bowling game to crash and/or settings to fail not save

It was a neat fun cab though and agree that the three main atari games played very well

The reason they put the high ball trackball in there is so people wouldn't try to play it like Golden Tee. On location one time we had a bar where the patrons regularly would run 10 feet across the floor to hit the Golden Tee trackball.... on Missile Command/Centipede/Millipede/LetsGoBowling you don't hit it hard, you just move it with the tips of your fingers.

Lets Go Bowling is pretty much Capcom Bowling but without the animations and what not, right?

Meh.

Ive got the Team Play PCB version without the Bowling game and am planning to build a CP for it. Would a standard 3" trackball be better or the Highball trackball? Looking for input from those that have used the Highball version, like or hate?

I wish it was remotely close to capcom bowling, but it's not. Complete shit game, hope the programmer is a manger at a fast food place now. I'd like to find the rom without it and run a jamma switcher in the cab with capcom bowling running. Mame only has the rom with the bowling game added.

Can you dump the rom? The highball fits the games nicely from a finger tip control aspect, a standard height golden tee ball would make playing difficult imho.

good day.

good day.

I posted the ROM in the tech forum not long ago. Others were asking for it as well. A quick search should get you what you need.

Oh snap. Way cool. I give my guests a stern warning not to start that game, but someone always does and walks away on the 2nd frame and only option is to power cycle. Thanks for dumping it.

good day.
