Tda2002

are tda2002 and tda2002H the same? need to replace the 2 sound amps in my ZK....

There are two versions, H for horizontal mount, and V for vertical mount. They are functionally identical; the only difference is in the way the legs are bent. Not sure which is in ZK, maybe you can tell from the pic below.

What makes you say that?
I don't have a ZK, but just looking at the schematics, there are _plenty_ of things that could cause no sound. Do you have an o-scope? If not, have you considered making an audio probe?

It's very rare for a power amplifier to go bad, it is the last thing component I would suspect. If speaker does not hum at high volume and rubbing the pins of amp does not generate static then suspect bad capacitors.

speaker hums at high volume, Anthony at quarterarcade tested the board and said it was working....got it put it into my cab and all i get is the hum....i've replaced 85% of the pins on the entire harness, replaced the 2 amps which were supposedly working anyway....doesn't that just leave me the speaker and volume pot?

If you have audio hum.......the amps are good (at a minimum, partically). Did you check the voltage? If ther motherboards tested good via someone else....I'd suspect a power issue.

where do i check the voltage at? the connector? i have the arcadeshop switcher installed...

i don't know how to check it at a pin..

If the pot was bad, turning it up would not cause the speakers to hum.

You could check it at the edge connector, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's too easy to slip with the probes and short something out.

Google does.

Oops, I just assumed you were running the original linear supply. If you're using a new switcher....that's probably not the problem.

turned out to be another bad connection....i removed a connector and put it back on and the sound kicked on...weird thing is that i already replaced all the pins on that connector, it should have been making great contact...zk is a PIA

so far..
no video - bad pins making connection
no sound - bad pins making connection
squiggly video - bad pins making connection

Did you reflow (or replace) the header pins?

Edward

yup, first thing i did on all the boards..its working great now that i've replaced 85% of the pins on the harness.
